The Fairfield County Bar Foundation is a charitable organization established to provide a vehicle for philanthropic activities of the legal community of Fairfield County, CT. Our mission is to improve access to justice for those in the community who have been impacted by poverty, abuse and discrimination, and to support charitable programs that assist the needy. We award grants to qualifying social service agencies, to support programs which educate individuals about their legal rights and enable them to participate in the judicial system; and to qualifying organizations that provide such services as assisting victims of crimes, sexual abuse and violence, and housing and emergency support services. We also serve as a source for pro bono legal services and support in the form of counseling. And we provide legal advice, mentoring and other services in collaboration with existing social service organizations whose clients cannot access equal justice, education or economic benefits.
