(uoy) mission is to increase civic and community engagement in wards 1 and 5, as well as throughout the washington, dc metropolitan region. our mission as we look to bring/build more arts programs and activities to our communities. the arts are an inter-personal development tool for each participant. a win-win for all involved...Every youth, their families, and their communities.Uniting our youth, inc. (uoy) mission is to identify, help build and strengthen neighborhood collaborations that increase civic and community engagement in wards 1 and 5, and that fruitfully blossom throughout the remaining washington, dc communities and adjacent metropolitan areas. exempt purpose (cont)in addition to being a haven alternative to the negative outcomes that result from gang/crew participation, our mission continues with uoys increasing its participation in two primary disciplines we believe our youth can never have too much exposure to [i.E., the arts, and s.T.E.M.(science, technology, engineering & mathematics)]. professional community participation in uoys program refocus is welcome. and encouraged, as we aim to assure that our youth are receiving the highest quality in programming in both of these disciplines. remembering, it takes an entire village to raise a child!
