Nextbook's mission statementthe goal of nextbook is to enable american jews to engage with jewish life and culture. the intended audience is made up of two broad categories: a base of "affiliated" jews, those who maintain active engagement with their jewish identity via any of a number of affiliations (e.G. member of synagogue, jcc or hadassah; donor to local jewish federation; subscriber to a jewish publication); and a target of what are known as the "unaffiliated", the majority of american jews, for whom jewish heritage remains of interest but seemingly out of reach. first and foremost, and the core and heart of nextbook, is our jewish encounters book series. secondly, we want to be the jewish niche on the web. our goal is to become the premier website of jewish journalism - in all of its forms (e.G. text, audio, video). we plan to achieve this goal with a delicate yet potent combination: comprehensive coverage of the entire landscape of jewish life, along with highly-curated, sophis
