Upper Midwest Golden Gloves gives under privileged kids a way to get off the streets by being involved in an activity/sport, which provides exercise and a method for them to channel anger in a positive manner. Our Boxing Gym helps them learn respect, how to get along with others and believe in themselves. We are involved in our local community in additional ways besides helping our local youth. We held a food drive at the gym a week before Thanksgiving giving needy families a turkey dinner.
