The uw-platteville foundation and alumni association inc (uwpfaa) exists exclusively for the benefit of the university of wisconsin - platteville. its specific role is to provide supplemental funds to aid uw-platteville in fulfilling its mission successfully. uwpfaa is committed to supporting these pillars of the university of wisconsin-platteville's mission. the uwpfaa supports student access and success through scholarship and academic program support (see below): scholarship support: the uwpfaa distributes roughly 565 donor-funded scholarships and an estimated $1,600,000 from these awards, annually. academic program support: the uwpfaa holds 331 additional funds that provide direct support of uw-platteville's academic programs, as well as their faculty and staff. the uwpfaa consistently hears feedback that our students graduate "ready to work and that is largely because of uw-platteville's commitment to providing hands-on learning opportunities for its current students. 95% of our students have a job upon graduation, while 70% of our graduates begin their careers in the state of wisconsin. the uwpfaa alumni, donors, and friends play a large part in the success of uw-platteville's students through financial support, mentorship, and time volunteered.
