The u of m club of greater flint promotes the following goals, independently of and through the cooperation of the university of michigan and the alumni association of the university (aaum) - --foster a spirit of loyalty and fraternity among graduate, current and former students; --effect united action in promoting the general welfare of the university as an educational institution; --act as a liaison between prospective students of the university in secondary schools in the flint area; --provide funding and other support of scholarships to current, prospective and admitted students of the university from the flint area; and --sponsor and support social, educational and charitable programs and activities for the alumni of the university and their families and friends in the flint area.
