International Brotherhood Of Electrical Workers
Since obtaining its charter on september 15, 1918, ibew local 794 has and will continue to seek to better the working conditions of workers in the railroad branch of the electrical industry within its jurisdiction, to improve the grade of their work product, and to enhance the efficiency of the electrical work they perform through the following activities: (i) bargaining collectively with employers; (ii) organizing workers; (iii) promoting reasonable methods of work; (iv) cultivating feelings of friendship among those in the electrical industry; (v) settling disputes between employers and employees by arbitration (if possible); (vi) assisting members in sickness and distress; (vii) assisting members in securing employment; (viii) securing adequate pay and other similar benefits for members' work; (ix) seeking a higher and higher standard of living for members; and (x) seeking security for members.
