Child Aid

Line 1, continued we transform how literacy skills are taught in public primary schools, so all children can have access to a quality education, the opportunity to improve their lives, and contribute to their communities and the world. we focus on rural villages where illiteracy disproportionately affects indigenous maya people, especially women, and in early grades where education has the largest impact on literacy and overall life chances. in the rural highlands of the states of solol, totonicapn and chimaltenango, we train teachers with school-wide workshops and one-on-one classroom coaching, and provide spanish-language, grade appropriate books.
