The centerville lions club is a service organization serving the centerville and washington township communities. what intially started out collecting eye glasses for distribution to needy individuals in the u.S. has expanded into a global effort by the more than 44,000 lions clubs in the world. we donate our time and money in support of the community needs. our top three activities are 1) sponsor a 5k run/walk. the money raised from this event went to several organizations e.G. $500 to the centerville food4summer program501c(3) group, provide for a needy family at xmas, provide for disabled young lady to attend a special camp for her and her family, and other organizations in centerville 2) give two (2) $1,000 scholarship to a graduating high school seniors each year 3) provide free eye exam and glasses for individuals unable financially to pay for it
