Poseidon Swimming Foundation INC

The organization seeks to establish and promote in the metro richmond area an aquatic facility that can provide a location for both recreational and competitive swimming. The facility will allow swimmers to compete at the level appropriate to his or her competence, local residents to learn the life skill of swimming as well as improve their swimming capability, and a venue for summer, local, regional and national level swimming competition. The venue will be a supportive, welcoming community for all those interested in both the life skills of swimming and competitive swimming, especially reaching minority young people who currently do not have access to an aquatic facility. The core values which are promoted are the pursuit of excellence in mind, body and spirit, commitment and competitiveness, and teamwork and sportsmanship.
