The association is a voluntary association of the producers, importers and marketers of spirit beverages ("spirit businesses") for latin america and the caribbean ("region") and related parties to advocate for the long-term growth and sustainability of the spirit beverages industry in the region and to promote the common business interest of its member. The objective of the association are to: (a)to secure, promote and advance the commercial freedom to sustainably produce, import, distribute, and market distilled alcohol beverages in a socially responsible way by encouraging responsible alcohol choices based on evidence-based research and policy; (b)to promote understanding of the spirit beverages industry to decision- makers and national institutions, international organizations, other key- target stakeholders and the media; (c)to promote the fair and equitable treatment of spirit beverages relative to beverage alcohol, cannabis and other regulated consumable products under the premis
