The philadelphia multiple myeloma networking group (pmmng) is an all-volunteer, member-led cancer support group for multiple myeloma (mm) patients and their families. the activities the group has conducted have included: - education programs on all facets of living with mm - open discussions among members on the practical/emotional aspects of living with mm - providing resource materials on all aspects of living with mm from diagnosis to treatment, financial to nutritional aspects, emotional to family aspects and - supporting the race for research program by participating in an annual 5k walk/run fundraising effort to raise money for mm research these programs have been facilitated by relationships with other non-profit organizations like the lls, the mmrf and the imf who have provided speakers, printed materials, workshops and teleclasses free of charge to members upon request. all face-to-face programs have been conducted at the ralston house, the regular meeting place of the pmmng.
