The brody project for animal assisted therapy, inc's primary exempt purpose is providing qualified animal assisted therapy teams (consisting of a therapy animal and its owner/handler ("aat teams") to facilities that provide treatment to children and adults. the brody project recruits and coordinates aat teams who work with social workers, physical, occupational, speech and recreational therapists, nurses and other health care providers and human service professionals, who identity specific therapeutic and/or rehabilitation goals for their patients. in addition to providing aat teams, the brody project's mission is to promote a deeper understanding of the importance of the human-animal bond and its proven benefits in enhancing human health by hosting informative community events including workshops and seminars featuring local, national, and international speakers specializing in the field of the human-animal bond
