The west scranton hyde park neighborhood watch, inc (wshpnw) is involved in many collaborations and partnerships that identify the available initiatives, services, outreach opportunities. we share information, introduce the community to government and nonprofit agencies. networking with government and other nonprofit agencies will identify new and existing resources. we can then strategically plan more effective delivery of resources into the neighborhood. this gives us the perspective to identify the populations that missed in gaps. wshpnw can close these gaps in our community that are lacking from local government, agencies and nonprofits. the populations of at-risk youth, impoverished families, struggling seniors and immigrant families are most largely affected. west scranton at large has gaps in programs and resources that negatively affect our safety; parks; community; rehabilitation and economic development.
