The purpose of the League is to represent the interest of independent contractors and freelancers and to educate individuals working as independent contractors, freelancers, under-employed or part-time workers with regard to best business practices, and informing members regarding issues that may affect their general welfare and business operations. The League shall also act as a network for social interaction and potential opportunities to become engaged by fellow members or others for whom members are providing their labor and/or advice on an independent contractor, or freelance basis.
