The mission of the national association of agriculture and food policy is to: a. to increase and diffuse knowledge to the general public about agriculture and food policy in its broadest sense; b. to educate industry and the agriculture and food community in order to further their technical understanding of policy; c. to secure united action and to represent the agriculture and food policy community nationally and internationally; d. to do all and everything necessary to enhance the growth of the agriculture and food policy research and the prospects for funding of such research; and e. to encourage policy changes in government to increase the funding of agriculture and food policy research. _
