Part iii - line 1 - mission statement to preserve and protect the quality of life, environment and character of coastal north county of san diego, especially la costa and encinitas from the negative impacts of excessive development, increased traffic,increased zoning density, increased intensity of use, pollution (air, water, land or light) or similar detrimental factors whether proposed or initiated by private or public entities. part iii line 28 exempt purpose accomplishements--submitted comment letters regarding the carlsbad general plan. -- spoke at city council meetings in carlsbad and encinitas -- spoke at carlsbad planning commission meetings and meetings of the citizens committee for updating the general plan. -- monitored proposed local projects -- met with carlsbad parks and recreation administration to discuss land to acquire for open space preservation -- increased social media awareness of environmental issues in north san diego county as per our mission. utilized social media posting, reading coast news and other sources to share/post on nca social media channels. -- keeping subscriber lists up to date. -- funded an appeal of the judgment in gmp lawsuit against carlsbad. -- worked on establishing support for our gmp lawsuit appeal with other environmental groups and organizations.
