Create communities of support and organize access to economic opportunities and critical resources for immigrants, refugees, and displaced indigenous communities. We foster development of self-sufficiency, helping program participants overcome obstacles and participate in society

What it reported doing in 2024

We are proud to share that we worked directly with 226 families in los angeles and orange county. Our economic advancement project hosted its first job fair in orange county, assisting 90 participants with opportunities to connect with 25 companies and job resources. We successfully placed 87 individuals in meaningful employment, achieving an 85% job retention rate, a testament to the readiness and resilience of our program participants. Tiyyas culinary program supported three participants in successfully securing microenterprise home kitchen operation (mehko) permits to operate their own food businesses in los angeles. Family services continues to host monthly tea & tota community gatherings, providing diapers and wipes to 1,068 babies.
