The basic mission of the playtoday! Foundation is to challenge existing sports facilities to broaden and deepen their impact within the community. Playtoday! Foundation is an organization that promotes sports for all segments of the population, including those without special needs, both here in the us and internationally. To become a certified playtoday! Foundation facility, a sports complex must include the following minimal requirements: offer no less than two adaptive sports programs for both children and adults with special needs, played on a rubberized field;build and maintain an adaptive playground in close proximity to the rubberized sports field; and offer a wiffle or 'plasti-ball' league for 'normal' or 'able-bodied' members of the community.
