The nuclear power labor management cooperation committee trust (trust) exists to assist employers and unions in solving problems of mutual concern as provided for by section 302(c)(9) of the taft-hartley act, 29 usc, section 186(c)(9) for any and all purposes set forth in section 6(b) of the labor-management cooperation act of 1978, including the encouragement and support of the construction and operation of nuclear power facilities. the trust's joint labor management activities are designed to improve labor-management relations, job security, competitiveness, productivity, organizational effectiveness, and economic development in the construction industry and in particular in the nuclear power construction industry.
