I.Mission StatementHealing Arts Family Connection, Inc. is a non-profit organization developed to bring comprehensive and therapeutic creative arts programming to children with special needs, at-risk youth, and families in need of psychosocial support. We believe that the creative process promotes healing, learning, and growing, enabling individuals to enrich their lives and reach their full potential. Specifically, we believe that the creative process of artistic expression can help children manage behaviors, reduce stress and resolve conflicts. In addition, engaging the whole family in creative expression can open up communication, help develop coping skills and improve the overall quality of family life. Guided by the philosophy of the established mental health profession of Art Therapy, our programming employs trained and credentialed professionals to implement high-quality programs that address the mental health needs of children and families under stress.
