Article Two Section 1. Purposes. The Organization is organized exclusively for charitable, and educational purposes as defined in Section 501c3 of the Internal Revenue Code. Studies indicate that regular participation in competitive gymnastics develops personal dedication and has been shown to prevent childhood obesity, as well as juvenile delinquency. The funds raised by the Organization shall be used to sponsor USA Gymnastics sanctioned competitions, support amateur gymnastics athletes ultimately in pursuit of national or international competitive status. The Organization shall provide volunteers for educational and extracurricular activities; engage in other charitable, civic, or educational activities that will contribute to the physical fitness of the community; and exercise other powers conferred by the laws of California on nonprofit Organizations.
