Primary exempt purpose: proamericas matches talents with opportunities for young generations. the organization promotes and develops professionally current and emerging leaders in latin america and the united states with leaders in government, corporations, chambers of commerce, bi-national centers (bncs), and educational institutions to foster citizen diplomacy and to create opportunities for college students, with limited economic resources, through personal and professional development programs and exposure to work experience in u.S. and latin american corporations.2018 achievements: since its inception in 2010, proamericas has been diligently fostering partnerships between organizations with strong ties with the united states of america and continues facilitating the operations of facilitating the operations of ianamericas (inter-american network of alumni associations) in the u.S. misael portillo, founder of proamericas, is a 1971 alumnus of the u.S. state departments prestigious international visitor leadership program (ivlp), and acts as ianamericas vice president. in 2018, proamericas attended the global ties u.S. 2018 national meeting in washington dc and moderated a workshop between national and international participants, with important conclusions that will benefit national and international organizations working to foster international exchange programs. proamericas granted a complementary scholarship to mrs. laura perez at the bard college of music.Major strategic objectives for 2019(1)proamericas will keep providing support and fostering between the american spaces, global ties u.S., and the u.S. state department alumni associations.(2)proamericas will keep working closely with ianamericas (inter american network of alumni associations) to encourage the u.S. international exchange alumni to form associations in every country throughout the western hemisphere. a wh regional convention will be planned for year 2019 in washington dc.(3)proamericas will keep fostering the development of cross-sector partnerships through the kinness platform to foster collaboration, help ngos to build their communities and to facilitate international exchange programs.(4)proamericas will keep doing the best efforts to help students and professionals to participate in exchange programs and the elei (english language enhancement and immersion) camps, by fostering partnerships between the binational centers of latin america and u.S. universities.(5)proamericas will start working on becoming the state alumni association for the united states.(6)proamericas will dedicate special efforts to support and foster entrepreneurship programs at the georgia hispanic chamber of commerce hispanic business center. efforts for students and professionals to participate in exchange programs and the elei (english language enhancement and immersion) summer camps, by fostering partnerships between the binational centers of latin america and u.S. universities.(7)proamericas will be participating in the for atlanta initiative, fostering collaboration between ngos and churches on behalf of the wellbeing and prosperity of the community.(8)proamericas will dedicate special efforts to help the venezuelan people through fundraising for exchange programs and donations to students in need.
