For its 5th school year, the visions academy charter high school's ("charter high school")most significant initiatives included: a) high school graduation rate its first graduating class in june 2014 is at 96% of seniors; b) college admissions rate 77% of the seniors were accepted to 4-year colleges or universities. the other students were accepted to 2-year colleges or the military. about $400,000 in college scholarships were garnered for its first graduating class; c) enhancing and increasing college exposure in addition to continuing its tradition of offering two college trips a year to every student, the charter high school continued its initiative to get students on college campuses for more extended periods of time in the summer; d)charter renewal its first charter renewal process was a success; and e)consolidation plans the nj dept. of education approved its request to consolidate operations with marion p. thomas charter schools effective july 1, 2014.
