Its Our Secret
Founded November 2009. It's Our Little Secret (IOLS) is a non-profit organization comprising exclusively of volunteers dedicated to providing a voice to sexually, physically, and emotionally abused children and teens through advocacy, mentoring, and creative expression. It is our goal to make a difference in the lives of the children through various IOLS specific programs so they will learn to live and not just survive. IOLS will launch 3 programs in 2013/2014 including an Art & Music Therapy Program (Creative Sessions), and IOLS Dreamworkshop for Youth. Continued programs are You Can Be A Hero a Program, Project Cake and IOLS Toy Drive. 2014/2015 Programs in the works are 2 support groups (Psycho-Educational Support Group for Adult Survivors of Abuse and a Teen Support Group). It is our hope to build the IOLS Academy of Arts & Healing, a 28,000+ square foot Residential Facility for children in the Illinois Fostercare System.
