The chelsea figure skating club of michigan (cfsc) exists to support young people who seek to enjoy, learn, and compete in the amateur sport of figure skating. the club is a member club of the united states figure skating association, which is the governing body for the sport of figure skating in the united states and a member of the united states olympic committee. through cfsc membership, club members obtain us figure skating membership and gain entry into the world of competitive figure skating, becoming eliible to participate in test sessions, events, and competitions sanctioned by us figure skating. club membership ensures that young people in the area of western washtenaw county, michigan have access to ice time and other support needed to learn and compete in the sport of figure skating. the club also hosts figure skating events and competitions that are open to figure skaters throughout the area of southeast michigan and beyond.
