What it reported doing in 2023

Education - environmental issues are often politically and scientifically complex. We work to increase public awareness and understanding of these issues as well as to educate candidates for office and elected officials about the environmental threats and challenges facing our state. This education often takes the form of email and social media communications, but may also involve paid advertisements, mail programs or phone outreach.

Operating model

Revenue model
Donor-supported. 98% of the money available for current operations came from contributions and gifts.
Distribution model
Direct operator. The filing allocates 95% of reported program-service expenses outside its grant, affiliate-payment, and member-benefit lines. This expense classification does not rule out separately announced grant awards.
