The mission of the corporation is to work to locate and build a state-of-the-art 'destination' baseball stadium in oakland, ca to 1)return the oakland athletics in oakland and 2)drive economic growth and job creation in oakland. letsgooakland! has worked with the city of oakland officials, representitives of major league baseball (mlb) and oakland buiseness leaders to vet and find three waterfront sites that would be wonderful sites for a new destination ballpark for the oakland athletics. these sites are now being seriously reviewed by mlb. our goal is to keep the oakland a's in oakland and work with the team and mlb to get a new ballpark built for the a's to play in.
