The purpose of organizing the new fairfield youth field hockey inc. was to teach children the importance of teamwork and sportsmanship to benefit their overall ability to become better citizens and students. these goals are to be implemented in the teaching of children from the age of 11-13. by teaching the children goals and how to work as a team, it is believed it will guide them in their adolescent years to work as a team no matter what the task is at hand. it will teach them to become better students and citizens and to help people when they need help by lending a hand when someone needs one. while accomplishing goals, both individually and as a team, the children learn a great deal of sportsmanship and compassion which they will be able to apply to all avenues of their lives.
