The mission of sahie is to design and implement integrated health information technology and health information exchange systems that improve the quality, safety and efficiency of clinical health services for patients and healthcare consumers, including the insured and uninsured, by supporting the information needs of patients and healthcare consumers, healthcare providers, health plans, public health organizations and related persons. The scope of the mission is to extend this service to all residents in southern arizona regardless of insurance status. The objective is to activate the electronic flow of clinical information across institutional boundaries so that clinical decisions can be made with more facts and less uncertainty, thus increasing the probability of safe, effective, and appropriate care in all care settings.
