The mission of nexus alliance is to use its network to have a sustainable impact on its membership and the community as a whole. The nexus membership base is a network of professional men of color, ranging from new entrants into the labor market to seasoned professionals in top positions in their fields. Nexus accomplishes these goals through cross-generational mentoring within its membership, outreach events to the community, such as a college awareness night, and volunteer efforts to the larger community, which in the past year included a mothers day celebration, an event providing food for thanksgiving dinner as well as access to local community services, and volunteer work at other established non-profits.
