The north mississippi land trust shall be a non-profit membership corporation created to conserve, promote, and protect open spaces and green places of ecological, cultural, or scenic significance in the the counties of north mississippi. The trust will accomplish these and such other purposes as may be adopted by the trust in the future, by acquiring legal title or conservation easements to real property in the counties of north mississippi (north of highway 82), by educational and scientific outreach and outdoor recreation activities, and by any and all other such lawful means available to the trust as a mississippi nonprofit corporation.
