The ymca foundation of the pikes peak region is organized and shall be operated within the meaning of section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code of 1986. the specific purposes and objectives of the corporation shall include but not be limited to: the young men's christian association of the pikes peak region (ymca); to help the ymca put christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all; and to establish a permanent endowment fund for the benefit of the ymca, receiving gifts of money and property, investing and managing the fund and using the income in such a manner to benefit the ymca as the trustees, in their discretion, may deem best, giving priority to the use of endowment income for major maintenance, modernization or expansion of the builidings and facilities, extension of services and developing and training professional leadership.
