Get Outdoors Nevada

Overview

Mission

To connect Nevadans and visitors from all backgrounds and ages to the state’s diverse outdoor places.

What it reported doing in 2025

Outreach programs: get outdoors Nevada serves as an important community connector, bridging our local community of residents with the various municipalities and land agencies that manage public lands and outdoor recreation spaces across southern Nevada. In particular, our organization serves as both the contracted facilitator for the regional open space and trails collaborative and as the official philanthropic partner, or "friends group" for lake mead national recreation area. In these capacities, we invest time and resources into developing, supporting and building community awareness around major outdoor-focused projects and initiatives such as the vegas valley rim trail or restoration of historic railroad tunnel trail. We also provide educational outreach programming across a wide variety of community-based events, all focused on building increased awareness and connection with the outdoors through initiatives that include "leave no trace- and "meet your mojave."
