Smyles was established on april 3, 2008 in honor and memory of myles beckley, who died suddenly on janury 5, 2008. the mission of smyles is to continue myles' legacy of enriching the lives of others, especially the children of st. regis and the surrounding communities, by paying the tuition for selected students who best exemplify myles' spirit and display financial need, providing all students of st. regis school with an annual fun day to celebrate the life and by sponsoring the occasional ice cream truck visit for students participating in football for the st. regis team. smyles will promote the education of children in the community and other activities that enrich the lives and the academic, spiritual, and athletic development of students at st. regis.
