The objective of the douglasville kennel club inc is to advance the principles and practices in the breeding of pure-bred dogs and to promote and conduct licensed dog shows and sanctioned matches under the rules and regulations of the american kennel club. They promote social and recreational activities in connection with dog breeding and exhibition.the douglasville kennel club sponsors akc sanctioned dog shows. The club also contributes to natural disaster rescue funds and local animal shelters. The club also sponsors a student for the university of georgia college of veterinary medicine scholarship awards program.the club has monthly meeting and invite public speakers to speak on matters such as breeding practices, dna practices, and responsible dog ownership.
