The mission of family promise is to work with homeless familiesand those at risk of homelessness to achieve housing stability. familypromise assists these families by providing individualizd casemanagement, connection to local resources and limited financialassistance with rent/deposits, power bills or other needs.Through case management, family promise seeks to guide thesefamilies to self-sufficiency by overcoming barriers such as lack ofeducation & job training, addiction and mental health issues.In 2017 family promise assisted 245 families (761 people) throughcooperative efforts of churches (19), volunteers (approximately 275donating time, job opportunities, furniture, clothing, other itemsneeded by the families) and professionals donating legal and medicalservices. we have also spoken to and advised an additional 535people in cases where financial assistance was not needed.
