The mccook pantry is an ecumenical community organization sponsored by the ministerial association and housed in the canterbury house of st. alban's church. as a source of emergency help with food supplies, it has been serving the people of southwest nebraska and northwest kansas since 1980. a staff of committed volunteers serves the public and keeps the shelves stocked. the pantry hours are 1:00 to 4:00 p.M. monday through friday. our support comes from the community of mccook and the surrounding area. churches, service organizations and individuals are generous contributors of food and/or cash with which needed food can be purchased to be given out.
