Asbestos Workers Local 24 Industry Advancement And Advocacy Fund
The exempt purpose of the asbestos workers local 24 industry advancement and advocacy fund is to work to promote a positive image of union workers and contractors: to owners, government officials, presently non-union contractors and workers, and the general public; to use newsletters, conferences, industry celebrations and other means to inform participating contractors and the general public about its activities and the opportunities that derive from those activities; to otherwise implement the purposes and provisions of the labor-management cooperation act of 1978 in the area of union members' health and safety; and to solicit and obtain financing for the fund from any and all lawful sources including employers, employer associations, private foundations, the federal government, state governments, and the union and its affiliates. this is essentially the only program service of the organization and all of the revenues and expenses are considered to be for this purpose.
