The object of this association shall be to provide for and maintain a fund, as set forth by the state of pennsylvania, for the relief of members who may be injured while performing public fire and rescue duty, or who may be prevented from following their usual occupation or calling on account of ailments caused by exposure or accident while on duty as a member of this association and department, and also provide for the necessary working expenses of the association. all expenses and benefits shall comply with the volunteer fighters' relief association act of 1968.
