The organizations primary function is to foster conservation of pennsylvania forests and wildlife. Conservation of the forest is a process that is performed on the property owned by the organization, through selective clearing of areas and subsequent reforestation of those areas. This process permits new plant growth which provides wildlife with other feeding opportunities. The organization then begins the reforestation process. Conservation of wildlife is performed by providing suitable habitat for the indigenous wildlife to thrive and then the ultimate thinning of the population to provide maximum potential for breeding and maintaining the food supply and food sources.
