Shore hill housing company, inc. ("shhc or the company") is a limited-profit tax-exempt housing company organized under the provisions of the limited profit housing companies law and the not-for-profit corporation law. In august 2008 shhc sold its equitable and beneficial rights in all of the company's assets to a related partnership, namely shore hill housing associates, lp. (the "partnership"). Although the company has sold the property, it continues to hold legal title to the property as a nominee in accordance with the terms of a nominee agreement. The company is a wholly controlled subsidiary of lumed housing, inc., as defined by the articles of incorporation, which, in turn, is a wholly controlled subsidiary of lutheran medical center.the company is exempt from federal income taxes under section 501(c) (3) of the internal revenue code.shhc has a controlling interest in a corporation which is the general partner of shore hill housing associates, lp.
