Form 990-ez, part iii, primary exempt purpose - the learning exchange (lx) is a not-for-profit educational agency providing srvices and resources to educators, parents and children. Lx works to maintain continuous improvement of educational leadership and classroom instruction. Lx is especially known for its expertise in experimental learning - creating award-winning, hands-on learning experiences for children, such as exchange city and earthworks, where students actively discover and apply knowledge in real-life situations. In addition, lx is recognized as a learning provider of consulting services in the areas of experimential learning cirriculum, strategic planning, training & staff development. Lx entered into an agreement for another non-profit to run the programs as of 11/16/2007. Form 990-ez, part iii, line 28, program service accomplishments: exchange city, earthworks, and curiosity camps - science and environmental education programs for elementary school students, serving 20,000 students in the metropolitan kansas city area. Learning exchange has entered into agreements with another non-profit organization to run it9s programs beginning november 2007.
