(mhf) is a michigan non-profit corporation which was organized and has, at all times, operated to provide facilities for genesee health systems (ghs) for use in and by way of support of their community mental health services program (program). the program is supported by the state department of mental health and by the county. mhf was organized to raise funds to obtain facilities for use in the program under an agreement with ghs. mhf qualifies as a section 509(a) (3) organization, a supporting organization to genesee county. mhf operates for the benefit of and to carry out the purposes of the program by providing services through the (1) leasing of facilities to ghs, as needed and as requested by ghs, at below market rentals (2) accumulation of reserve funds to permit acquisition and renovation of facilities for future use by ghs, in response to requests by ghs (3) repair and maintenance of leased facilities as requested by ghs.
