Provide educational opportunities for children to learn about the different instruments and music. Petting Zoo with instruments attracts 30-40 participants per year. Maintain a selection of donated instruments to be loaned to students in local schools music programs providing about 100 instruments per year. Make repairs to keep the instruments in working condition. Conduct a Competition for young musicians to perform a solo with the orchestra with awards and opportunities to be the soloist at an orchestra concert. Out of five applicants, three received a cash prize and two performed with the orchestra.
