Volunteer Search and Rescue team that assists law enforcement and emergency management agencies search for lost and missing persons. Greater Philadelphia Search and Rescue is committed to using all of the resources at its disposal to assist in disasters and to locate and rescue lost persons. Our mission is carried out through the use of the expertise and technology at the disposal of our team of dedicated highly trained volunteers focused on safety of all parties involved. Further, it is our intent to educate the public and private sectors as to our mission and to help them to develop an understanding of what search and rescue is, how not to get lost and how to handle a disaster situation.
