The purposes of this organization shall be to provide an organization of court reporters in the commonwealth of massachusetts; to assume responsibility forleadership and enlightenment of the users of verbatim reporting ofproceedings and of the public regarding the special competency,importance and value of the court reporting system; to promote harmonyand a spirit of mutual assistance between the profession of courtreporting and the courts and members of the bar of this commonwealth;to program, foster and establish statutes and rules, directly orindirectly affecting the profession as may be of help and assistance toreporters, members of the bench and bar and as the same may promulgateefficiency and justice in all courts; to conduct educational seminarsand conferences; to render assistance to all reporters in the perpetualimprovement of their reporting skill; to further the exchange ofprofessional knowledge and maintain a proper standard of ethics andcompensation.
