IRS 990 Nonprofit Profile
Brain Tumor Fund For The Carolinas
The brain tumor fund for the carolinas is dedicated to supporting brain cancer patients by assisting them in their navigation of the healthcare system and encouraging vital research that advances effective and collaborative solutions for cancer treatment. Our most significant project of the year was a local research project led by drs. Tony asher and stuart burri that the brfc helped to fund and facilitate will be published this year in jama, the journal of the american medical association. This is a wonderful development for the fund as well as the practice of care for brain tumor patients everywhere. Also, we continued to fund our local brain tumor patient navigator. The needs for this role continue to grow and far surpass what we originally estimated.
