The Flint Hills Human Rights Project is a private, non-profit organization that serves as a resource for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender members of the Manhattan, Kansas and Flint Hills community and for visitors to the area. FHHRP supports the political, social, spiritual, business and educational needs of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community and it's allies. FHHRP's mission is to use the political process, education and advocacy to ensure and promote dignity, safety, equality for and the civil and human rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, transsexual, intersex and questioning (LGBTTIQ) individuals in Manhattan, Kansas and the Flint Hills region of Kansas. FHHRP seeks to promote a society where people of all classes, races, sexual orientations and gender identities can enjoy complete sexual and reproductive freedom and expression, as part of their full enjoyment of life, without fear of harassment, physical harm, or economic or legal penalty.
