Higher Education Allied Health

With Americans living longer, health care has become a more important issue than ever. But in the coming years, our nation faces a looming shortage of health care workers, as many medical professions do not have enough workers to replace retiring Baby Boomers.The Higher Education Allied Health Leaders (HEAL) Coalition was founded to prevent this looming crisis, by raising awareness about the importance of allied health training and advocating the interests of private allied health schools. Members include eligible accredited institutions of higher education, along with companies, organizations, and associations interested in allied health issues. The Coalition works to educate Members of Congress on the value of private allied health schools, and to advocate parity between the proprietary and traditional sectors when promoting the allied health professions.
